Ajang pameran Mobile World Congress 2012 telah dimulai. Beberapa vendor yang ikut meramaikan ajang bergengsi itu pun ada yang sudah 'mendahului' untuk memperkenalkan perangkat yang dibawanya, salah satunya adalah Huawei.



Sesuai dengan janjinya beberapa waktu lalu, vendor asal Cina itu memang akan menggunakan ajang MWC untuk memperkenalkan perangkat terbaru miliknya yang dijuluki sebagai Diamond Series. Benar saja sehari jelang kick-off dari acara yang akan digelar di Barcelona itu, Huawei telah memperkenalkan smartphone Huawei Ascend D quad.

Smartphone ini akan diotaki oleh prosesor quad-core, dan menurut klaim Huawei, perangkat itu disebut sebagai smartphone tercepat di dunia.



Ascend D quad merupakan smartphone dengan layar 4.5 inchi dengan prosesor quad-core terbaru Huawei yang diberi julukan sebagai K3V2 dengan clock speed 1.5 GHz dan akan menjalankan Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.



Smartphone yang memiliki tebal hanya 8.9 serta bobot 4,6 ons ini juga disokong dengan fasilitas lainnya, seperti kamera utama 8 MP dan kamera depan 1.3 MP dengan kemampuan merekam video 1080p. Sementara untuk audio, smartphone ini telah diintegrasikan dengan Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound yang dikolaborasikan dengan teknologi earSmart yang mampu menyajikan sesuatu yang cukup luar biasa dengan noise cancellation. Di sektor penyuplai daya smartphone ini dibekali dengan sebuah baterai berkapasitas 1800 mAh.
